What It Reveals

Driving history for the past 3-7 years, name, address, Social Security Number, physical description, date of birth, validation of license, status, class and expiration date, as well as violations.

Why is it Important?

For employers who plan to hire an applicant for a position that requires driving on public roads or highways, this search is critical to identify whether the applicant has demonstrated the ability to operate a motor vehicle safely.  It may also reveal substance abuse problems.

Notes about this Information

Third parties can access driving records on behalf of an employer.  A less preferable method is to have the job applicant get their own records and deliver them to the employer. For large employers, some states have implemented a notification program.
