Credit Report |
What It Reveals? |
A credit report will reflect current and previous credit activity, including any derogatory credit information, and public filings such as bankruptcies, liens or judgments. The report may also show previous employers, addresses and other names used. |
Why is it Important? |
A credit report gives an employer a sense of the applicant’s fiscal responsibility. This is especially important if the applicant is expected to have access to the company’s cash or its financial records. |

Notes about this Information |
Credit information is sensitive by its nature. Credit reports are usually not requested unless the employer has determined that such a report has a bearing on the job and the employer has implemented policies and procedures to ensure that the information obtained is relevant and its use is fair. Chimera ensures that credit checks comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) as well as county, state, and federal laws. |
