What It Reveals

Civil cases or judgments will include the date the case was filed, what type of case it was, the case or file number, the issue, the defendant’s name, the cause of action, where the case was filed, and perhaps the identity of the parties.

Why is it Important?

This may let the employer know if the job applicant has initiated suits or has been sued.  It would be important if it was relevant to the job being offered.
